Last crew role remaining - digital loader / on-site editor - with mentoring!

There's just one last crew role to fill for our shoot. It's perhaps one of the coolest roles, which has recently been 'beefed up'. It would suit someone who is an editor, but also likes to be on set.

Here are the responsibilities...

  • Collect in shoot footage from SSD drives and back up safely

  • Organise and label footage diligently

  • Collect in and organise 'behind the scenes' and EPK footage

  • Edit up 'behind the scenes' short sequences

Possible other tasks if the selected person is interested / has the necessary skills

  • Edit up trailers and other short edits on set

  • Composite together some SFX shots (maybe in After Effects) to test our footage works together okay

  • Start to offline edit the feature

  • Create test grades to explore the look and feel of the film

TV editor Dan Mellow will be coming along some of the days to mentor and help. He is the editor of X-Factor, BGT, The Jump and many more. Obviously he is the master of pre-packaged behind-the-scenes fast paced editing and you'll learn a lot from him.

  • Use of Premier would be ideal.

  • We will grading (and maybe cutting) in Resolve as we are shooting on the Blackmagic 4K, with some shots done in RAW.

  • Experience of working with 4K could be useful

Here are the dates of the shoot...

  • Tues 26th August - Sun 31st August (6 days)

  • Sat 6th & Sun 7th September (2 days)

  • Sat 13th & Sun 14th Sept (2 days)

  • Sat 20th & Sun 21st Sept (2 days)

  • Sat 27th & Sun 28th Sept (2 days)

  • Sat 4th & Sun 5th October (2 days)

  • Sat 11th & Sun 12th Oct (2 days)

  • Sat 18th & Sun 19th Oct (2 days)

  • Sat 25th to Saturday 1st November (8 days)

As with other members of the crew, it is expenses only - but with a good deferred payment. We have travel laid on from Bournemouth to the location.

For an example of our "behind the scenes" so far so below.
